Brilliance group participated Reception for the 60^th Anniversary of China-Zambia Diplomatic Relations

  On the evening of September 5, Mr. Wu Feng, founder and CEO of Briliance Group and his colleagues attended the reception for the 60th anniversary of China-Zambia diplomatic relations and China-Zambia Investment & Trade Forum and delivered a keynote speech. In the speech, Mr. Wu Feng praised the "Belt and Road" strategy to promote the friendship and high-quality development of the two countries, introduced Brilliance Group as one of the high-tech enterprises integrating research and development, production and sales of biological products, focusing on long-term international layout, products are exported to more than a dozen countries. The Group's cholera vaccine have been submitted for registration in Zambia and 15 neighboring countries, and strive to obtain early approval from various countries to benefit the African people and help solve the threat of cholera epidemic. Finally, Mr. Wu Feng stated that Brilliance is willing to actively establish cooperation with the Zambian government and relevant enterprises, and introduce the cholera vaccine and more biological products to Zambia through trade and local production, benefiting more Zambian people and more African people in neighboring countries. During the meeting, Zambian President Hakainde Hichilema said that Zambia is focusing on the production and procurement of pharmaceutical products, especially vaccines and revealed that Zambia has signed a memorandum with the Chinese government before the meeting on the localized production of cholera vaccine in Lusaka, the capital of Zambia, hoping to solve the risk of local cholera outbreaks through localized production. President Hakainde Hichilema has also said that generic drug manufacturers are welcome to invest in Zambia, and that Zambia will set up special economic zones and provide tax incentives.   The following is the full text of Mr. Wu Feng's speech:   Dear all leaders, peers and friends, Good evening！ I am Frank WU, currently I’m the CEO of Shanghai United Cell Biotechnology company.

This year will mark the 60^th anniversary of relations establishment between China and Zambia. It’s my great honor to meet all of you on such special day and make my greetings on behalf of our company.

The "Belt and Road" strategy has promoted the friendship and high-quality collaboration between China and Zambia, and has brought great development opportunities to both countries. In recent years, Chinese innovative medicines, especially biologics, have reached top international level in terms of R&D speed and quality. The Chinese government put efforts to make these high-quality medicines more affordable, benefiting Chinese people. We believe such high-quality and low-cost medicines also have great potential to bring remarkable benefits to all Belt and Road countries, including Zambia. As one of China's high-tech pharmaceutical companies engaged in R&D, production and commercialization, we emphasize on internationalization over the past 20 years. The three products produced by our company, the oral vaccine for preventing cholera and bacterial diarrhea, growth hormone, and teriparatide have entered the markets of nearly 10 countries including Egypt, India, Philippines, and the Central Asia. In particular, the cholera vaccine is under registration in Zambia and 15 surrounding African countries. We will obtain regulatory approvals and fully help people in Africa to combat the challenges of cholera pandemic. As we all know, China and Zambia have established longstanding friendship. Because of the mature business foundations and mutual trust, we always take Zambia as our top priority for in-depth collaboration and further investment. We would love to cooperate with Zambian government and companies, to bring our cholera vaccine and other products to Zambia through not only international trading but also technique transfer and local production.
